Tonnage ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the Tonnage app handles your information.

Data We Store Locally

Tonnage stores all of your fitness data locally on your device. This includes:

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of this data on external servers. Your fitness data stays on your device.

Apple Health Integration

Tonnage optionally integrates with Apple Health to sync workout sessions and bodyweight data. This integration is opt-in and governed by Apple's privacy policies. We only read and write data you explicitly authorize through the Health permissions dialog.

Photo Import & Anthropic API

The photo-to-workout import feature uses Anthropic's API to analyze images. When you use this feature, the image is sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle this data. Your Anthropic API key is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.

Payments

All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment information directly. Apple's privacy policy governs all transaction data.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

Tonnage does not use any third-party analytics or crash reporting tools. We do not track your usage, collect device identifiers, or build user profiles.

Children's Privacy

Tonnage is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
